President & CEO
Michael became CEO of Adapt in October 2005, bringing with him over 20 years experience in the technology business. Prior to his appointment, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Product Management for Yahoo! Search Marketing, where he was responsible for overseeing product strategy and development plans for the billion-dollar-plus search advertising business.
Michael was also a Senior Vice President with Overture Services, Inc. (FKA: Goto.com), the originator of pay-per-click search advertising, when the company was acquired by Yahoo! He was a member of the transition team that merged operations.
Before his foray into pay-per-click advertising, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Products & Strategy for FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of workflow processing and content management software. Michael also served in executive roles at Stac, Inc., Rememory Corp. (founder and CEO), Connor/Archive Corporation (now part of Seagate Technologies), and Emerald Systems Corp. (the innovator of mass storage for PC networks in the early 1980s).
Michael received his BS in Computer Information Systems from Cal Poly Pomona.
VP Engineering & Operations
Erick has been involved in Internet software development, product development and security management since the first commercial applications were available online.
Prior to joining Adapt, Erick held executive positions in companies providing Web-based services, including Zenith Insurance Company, Digital Evolution, LRN, Full Moon Interactive, Danish Technology Institute and the Aalborg University Library.
Over the past 20 years, Erick has been responsible for building a number of innovative technology groups that brought clients to the Internet as early as 1987 and the Web beginning in 1994. He has managed design, development and operations of compliance solutions for 75 companies in the Fortune 100, created unified management structures for security and privacy initiatives, and designed security architecture for service-oriented architecture management products.
At Adapt, Erick is responsible for sales and customer support, product management, development and operations.
Erick holds a BS in Computer Information Systems.
Director, Technology
Eric has worked in software development, product management, and operations since the early 1990s. He joined Adapt from Amazon.com, where he was program manager for an effort to improve revenue and margins from accessories.
Prior to Amazon.com, Eric worked for several technology startups, including application service provider Interliant. As COO of Interliant, Eric grew the company from twelve people to 85, and implemented 24x7 technical support and network maintenance. He later worked in London, leading a team of 20 consultants in implementing the Lotus Notes infrastructure for a Big Six accounting firm.
At Adapt, Eric leads the Engineering and Operations teams.
Eric graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rice University, with a BA in Mathematics, History and Economics. He is also a committer on the Apache Tomcat project and a certified project manager.
Director, Agency Development
Chris has over 15 years of leadership experience in information systems management, project management and software development management. Chris studied database management systems and database theory at the University of West Florida while he worked on the United States Navy's first full-service intranet and electronic classroom.
Chris has worked as a database developer for McKesson, as Director of Software Development at LRN, and more recently as a product architect for Princeton Softech. Chris is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and has worked as an Oracle database engineering and database theory instructor at Hewlett-Packard, Northrop-Grumman, IBM, Notre Dame, California State University, Northridge and as an Oracle University Professor for the International Oracle Users Group.
At Adapt, Chris is responsible for helping agencies create PPC management offerings for their clients, whether they are just starting, trying to introduce a technology platform to increase their capacity, or simply improve their service offering.
Director, Sales Operations
David has over 12 years of international management experience in P&L, operations, customer service, sales management and HR. As Senior Operations Programs Manager at Dell, he oversaw the business operations of eight remote country-based operations, built a scalable and stable operations platform to support a remote, high performance sales team for the Dell Emerging Markets business.
Before coming to Dell, David worked as General Manager in the logistics industry with RTT (Pty) Ltd., one of South Africa's premier transport and distribution companies. He grew revenue and profit there by more than 110% in 3 years.
At Adapt, David is responsible for directing both the Sales and the Client Services teams, which include all professional services and customer support.
David graduated with both his BS in Social Science and his MBA at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
